The Folium Files Newsletter service is an optional service that provides periodic updates regarding Angela Folium’s writing journey. This service allows Angela Folium to send newsletters to subscribers via email and receive replies.

angelafolium.com uses The Newsletter Plugin to share the Folium Files Newsletter service, which employs newsletter-related cookies to track subscriptions and provide a smooth user experience. The data collected includes the user’s IP address, both when a user signs up for the newsletter and when a user updates their subscription. Additionally, to sign up for the Folium Files Newsletter service, a user must provide three pieces of personal information (first name, last name, and email address) as well as indicate acceptance of this Privacy Policy. Users must also consent to receiving the newsletter by confirming their subscription using the link sent to their email address after they submit the newsletter sign-up form.

2. Where are these data stored and how long are they retained?

These data are stored securely by WordPress.com. 

These data are kept until they are no longer needed to provide the Folium Files Newsletter service. angelafolium.com will periodically delete the data of any subscribers who do not confirm their subscription or who unsubscribe from the service. Subscribers may change their data or may unsubscribe at will. Subscribers may request to receive a copy of their data and/or may request that their data be deleted.

3. Who are these data shared with?

These data are shared with The Newsletter Plugin and angelafolium.com’s email host, Google, to provide the Folium Files Newsletter service. Google’s use of data is strictly governed by a Cloud Data Processing Addendum (CDPA) to ensure data security and fulfill user data rights.

C. The Contact Angela service

The Contact Angela service is an optional service that allows users to contact Angela Folium via email.

angelafolium.com uses the Jetpack Plugin to offer the Contact Angela service, which employs cookies to provide a smooth user experience. To use the Contact Angela service, a user must provide two pieces of personal information (name, email address) and may provide additional personal information in their message, depending on the nature of their query. Additionally, the user’s IP address is collected when a message is sent. To submit a message using the Contact Angela service, users must indicate acceptance of this Privacy Policy.

2. Where are these data stored and how long are they retained?

These data are stored securely by WordPress.com. 

These data are kept until they are no longer needed to provide the Contact Angela service. angelafolium.com will periodically delete the data of any users that is no longer needed to provide the Contact Angela service. Users may request to receive a copy of their data and/or may request that their data be deleted.

3. Who are these data shared with?

These data are shared with angelafolium.com’s email host, Google, to provide the Contact Angela service. Google’s use of data is strictly governed by a Cloud Data Processing Addendum (CDPA) to ensure data security and fulfill user data rights.
